Deleting Your Account In-App

You can delete your account directly from within the app:

• Step 1: Open YiYo and sign in to your account.
• Step 2: Go to the Profile page from the bottom menu.
• Step 3: Tap "Delete Account" at the bottom of the page.
• Step 4: Verify your identity. If you registered with an e-mail address and password, enter your password; if you signed in with Google or Apple, you will be asked to re-authenticate with that account.
• Step 5: Confirm the deletion on the confirmation screen.

When the process completes you are signed out and returned to the login screen. Deletion cannot be undone.

Requesting Deletion by E-mail

If you cannot access the app, you can contact us at the address below. Sending your request from the e-mail address registered to your account speeds up verification:

Requests are usually completed within 7 business days and never later than the 30 days required by the KVKK.

Data That Is Deleted

When your account is deleted, all of the following data is permanently removed:

• Profile information: name, e-mail, age, gender, height, weight, activity level
• Health and preference data: food allergies, declared health conditions, diet style, liked and disliked foods, additional notes
• Nutrition plans, meal history and plan backup
• Calorie, macronutrient and water tracking data; daily progress records
• Meal records added by photo and barcode (analysis results)
• Weekly and monthly summaries and their AI commentary
• Favourite recipes, recipe history and custom ingredients you added
• Support requests you sent from within the app, and the replies to them
• The local cache on your device: all offline data including reminder times, language, theme and sound preferences
• Your authentication account (Firebase Authentication record)

Because your meal photos are never stored on the servers, there is no photo archive left to delete.

Outside the Scope of Deletion

• E-mail correspondence: Messages you sent by e-mail to [email protected] are not deleted automatically when you delete your account. If you want that correspondence deleted as well, simply write to the same address.
• Server logs: Server logs kept for debugging and security (which may include your account identifier and the content of the request) are not deleted separately when you delete your account; they are retained for up to 30 days and then deleted automatically.
• System backups: Deleted data becomes inaccessible to the app at the moment of deletion; it may take up to 180 days for it to be fully purged from the infrastructure provider's (Google's) systems and routine backups. These copies are kept solely for the provider's disaster recovery processes and are not read by the app.
• Sign-in providers: Records held in your Google or Apple account are not under YiYo's control; you need to manage those from the relevant provider's account settings.

Before You Delete

• Deletion cannot be undone; your plans, history and favourite recipes cannot be recovered.
• You can register again with the same e-mail address, but the new account starts empty; your old data does not come back.
• Removing the app from your device does not delete your account; your data on the server remains. Follow the steps above for permanent deletion.
• If you only want to stop notifications, you can turn the reminders off in the app's notification settings instead of deleting your account.
